This notice explains how personal data is processed when you request the Production Readiness Checklist, subscribe to Python Backend Rescue updates or apply to the PRODUCTION-7 design-partner programme.

2. Data we process
For checklist and newsletter requests, we process the email address you enter, your newsletter preference and the technical records needed to securely process the request. For optional updates, we also retain evidence of your choice: the opt-in timestamp, the form used, the consent-copy version and its language.
For a PRODUCTION-7 pilot application, we process your name, work email, optional company or project name, role, engineering-team range, Python stack, preferred pilot surface, evaluation goal and your confirmations that you are authorised and have read this notice. The application form explicitly asks you not to provide source code, credentials, customer data or a private repository URL. We do not use application data for profiling or automated acceptance decisions.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Checklist delivery: to provide the resource you requested. The legal basis is your request and consent when submitting the form. The checklist is delivered as a direct download and the address is not retained for this purpose alone.
- Optional updates: to send occasional engineering notes, manual updates and launch information. The legal basis is your specific consent through the optional checkbox.
- PRODUCTION-7 pilot applications: to evaluate your requested participation, contact you about fit and, if selected, organise the private pilot. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible pilot relationship and the information you voluntarily submit for that purpose. Pilot application data is not added to the marketing list.
- Anonymous site measurement: to understand aggregate visits, pages, referral sources and a limited set of interactions such as opening an article or completing a checklist request. This helps us improve the site without building visitor profiles.
4. Recipients and international transfers
When you opt in to updates, we use Resend, Inc. as our contact-management and email provider. Resend acts as a processor and processes customer data in the United States. Selecting an EU sending region does not move stored account data to the European Union.
PRODUCTION-7 applications are sent through Resend to the controller's published Gmail inbox. Resend processes the delivery and Google LLC processes the received application as the controller's email provider. Do not use the application form to send confidential repository information or personal data belonging to other people.
Transfers to the United States are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, incorporated into Resend's Data Processing Addendum, and additionally by Resend's participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Our website is hosted by Vercel, Inc., which may process technical request, security and deployment logs as our hosting provider. Where this processing involves an international transfer, it is governed by Vercel's Data Processing Addendum and the transfer safeguards described there.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics and first-party Vercel runtime logs for aggregated, privacy-focused measurement. Funnel records contain only an approved event name, its page location and whether optional updates were selected. They never contain email addresses, form contents or persistent visitor identifiers.

5. Cookies and similar technologies
We currently do not set advertising, profiling or other non-essential cookies. Vercel Web Analytics is configured as a privacy-focused, cookie-free measurement service; it uses aggregated data and a short-lived daily hash rather than a persistent cookie. Our own funnel endpoint receives only approved event names, page locations and optional consent state. It does not receive email addresses, form contents or persistent visitor identifiers.

6. Retention
After a new optional subscription, we send one welcome email containing the requested resource and an unsubscribe link. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you withdraw consent or request deletion. Every message provides a way to unsubscribe; the preference is then recorded in Resend so that further marketing email is suppressed. We may retain the minimum information necessary to record an unsubscribe request and comply with legal obligations.
Unsuccessful PRODUCTION-7 applications are deleted from the working inbox within six months. For selected partners, the application and pilot correspondence may be retained for the duration of the pilot and up to six months afterwards so feedback and agreed follow-up can be completed. Data may be retained longer only where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or comply with a legal obligation. Provider service records follow the applicable contractual retention periods.
7. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact jmmangas@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
8. Required and optional information
An email address is required to complete the checklist request. Consent to receive future communications is optional. Refusing optional consent does not prevent you from downloading the checklist. The fields and confirmations marked as required in the design-partner form are needed to evaluate the application safely; without them, the application cannot be considered.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will always appear on this page.
